Riso is a digital duplicator to print each color the machine produces a master and works with a very specific spot color range unique to Riso. It was originally created to print a lot of copies of the same master but because its finishes and aesthetics was reclaimed by designers, illustrators and artists to produce unique, affordable and environmental friendly prints. Because this technique was created with another purpose in mind, its use, in this artistic context, imposes some limitations and some print flaws may occur.
Colors
RISO offers a unique colour palette that can’t be accurately translated into RGB or CMYK profiles. With that in mind, explore our 12 available colours. All colours can be overlayed to create other colours with the exception of Black and Metallic Gold. Notes
RISO it’s not a high fidelity printing method, take that into account when choosing to use it. We take no responsibility over files setup by the clients in case the print doesn’t match their expectations. We work closely with a traditional book binder to offer binding solutions and print finishes, let us know what you need. We offer a 10% discount to students.
